I like to tip when deserved. Not automatically.
I would of gave more stars but I didn't appreciate the bar tender tipping herself with my money. This was my first time at this establishment and chic behind the bar with the braids decided to keep my change like I couldn't count. I don't appreciate bar tenders like that. You don't keep customers money and tip yourself like its ok because its NOT. That will get you nothing in return.
We rented a booth for $200 for my sisters 40th birthday. We were promised a waitress, champagne, and of course, the booth that set approx. 10 people. We were also promised flyers to help promote her birthday party. The booth was 'okay'. The furniture was extremely worn and a bit dingy. The waitress came to our booth maybe 3 times (we ended up ordering at the bar), and our flyers were never delivered. The music was horrible and the beers were luke warm. I WILL NOT be coming back.
First off, they charge a cover early, we paid $30 for 3. Whitney was our bartender, she made us WELL VODKA TONICS... I'm not gonna say I counted every round, but I'll let you think of this on your own. I go to oay, $186 WHAT SO DOING THE MATH, @10 a drink that's 18 drnks, for 3 ppl, in which one was driving....ummm 10 for a well drink is a stretch. So I ask this girl to tell me how I spent that, instead of explaining she got security involved. They start threatening me to leave, I paid the tab, with them talking mess to me about cops, not 1 person could tell me how my bill was almost 200$ for 3 people. So IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED GOOD AND HAVE GOOD DRINKS DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE BC THE BARTENDERS CHARGE YOUR CARD UP, THEN IF YOU ASK FOR DETAILS, THEY KICK YOU OUT AND THREATEN WITH COPS, I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE CALLED THE COPS BC MAYBE I WOULD GET A EXPLANATION ON NY BILL. I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE NOR WILL I TELL ANYONE TO GO HERE!!! TIP FOR AVENUE 101, GET BETTER PEOPLE ON STAFF! THEIR TERRIBLE AND CLEARLY FROM OTHER COMMENTS ON HERE, YOU ALL LIKE CHARGING PEOPLE UP! TERRIBLE BUSINESS PLAN, IT WILL FAIL
Thank you Garner for all you do for the nightlife community. Always a safe, clean uspscale atmosphere. Just celebrated my second birthday party here this past weekend. Amazing drinks, staff, music and diverse crowd!!!
