Let me start off by saying that I love this place. However, it did not always start out like this. The first couple times I took my bike in to be fixed and have service done the man working in the service area wasn't all that friendly. This changed quickly after I started to come in more frequently, not every week but every so often to get a tune up on the bike, shop, or getting something replaced on my bike. After I started frequenting this place the man that works in the service department started recognizing me and calling me by my name which made the whole experience fixing my bike a lot better. I wanted to get into mountain biking so I asked a friend who was already into the sport to guide me through the process of finding the best bang for my buck. He took me to bike one and the service there was great but I told them I was going to shop around to make sure I explored all my options. I went into the store part of wheeler dealer and I can't remember the name of the man who helped me but he was very tall and looked maybe in his 40s. He helped me pick out the best bike for me, a beginner, and even took me to the computer and helped me compare prices and specs on different bikes in the same price range and the bike he showed me was far better than the bike I was thinking about getting. I really love the service here and the amount of care the people who work there put into making sure you walk away happy. I could never imagine going to anywhere but Wheeler Dealer to buy bikes and bike related accessories.

Overall I give the sales side of Wheeler Dealer a 5 star rating, but the service side a 1-2 star rating. Its disappointing to see a company that has a long history in OKC and that prides themselves in their service department do this quality of work. There are always two sides to every story, so take mine as you will, but I have only stated my experience. Unfortunately this has left me with such a bad taste in my mouth that I will not be returning to Wheeler Dealer. My warranty period is almost up, and unless something catastrophic happens within that time, I will take my bike somewhere else that is more friendly and has more quality control. Thanks for taking time to read my review.

excellent service and very knowledgeable was willing to take the time and answer any of our questions highly recommended

Service is top quality, employee are knowledgeable, only place I'll ever buy a bike again.

For starters, the purchasing experience with Wheeler Dealer was excellent! I was treated well and given what I would consider a good deal on a new Specialized Rockhopper. After months of riding the bike, very few miles were put on during this time, I took it in for initial adjustment and service. No issues with the service, I scheduled a date, and the bike was ready in a day or two. More recently however my bike had started to develop a bottom bracket creak and looseness in the front fork. (I only ride my bike to class and the occasional easy trail) Coming from a BMX background, I understand most main components, but I am still on a learning curve with specific driveline and suspension parts on a MTB.

I'm from Canada and I'm really glad I found a real bike shop I went to Schlegel bike shop all they were doing was trying to sell me a bunch of products I didn't need or want and the sales guy smelled of alcohol I'm so glad you guys are sober and very respectable very nice and friendly I dealt with the guy named Steve who had a prosthetic leg he is very helpful definitely will suggest you guys other people and will come back

The next weekend I decided to go to a local trail to get back on my bike and make sure everything was squared away. Not even halfway into the trail, my bottom bracket started creaking again, worse than before I took it into Wheeler Dealer for service. It had also developed some shifting and chain skipping issues. Not being able to finish my day of riding, I headed back to town and to my LBS. A few days they get back to me stating the bikes all good now and I was ready to go. Heres what they stated they found: They found the BB was installed with teflon tape over the more popular anti-seize grease (matter of opinion, but the consensus is usually grease), they also found the BB to not be fully installed. The shifting and skipping issue was a simple adjustment of my rear derailleur, so I'm not going to blame WD on that one. Regardless I am upset with the amount of time it took WD to service my bike and upset with the quality of work I received back. I will not mention specifics, but a few of the phone conversations I had with the service department were not what I would call professional.

Anyway, living out of town, I took it to my LBS to have it checked out. Within the day, they stated I needed a new bottom bracket and that the fork needed to be replaced/rebuilt. I paid them for the diagnosis and scheduled a date with Wheeler Dealer to bring it in and have the aforementioned parts warrantied or fixed. So my first complaint arises, within a few days, they called me and said the fork had issues and that they needed to contact Suntour to inquire about replacement parts or a new fork. It took them 4 days to "get ahold" of Suntour only to discover that they had to go through their website to contact them. (not very proactive in my opinion). Well took a few days, but they got replacement parts in and rebuilt my fork. I then get a call saying that my fork was fixed but they just discovered that my bottom bracket needed to be replaced as well and that it would be a few more days while they waited for parts to come in. This was after almost 2 weeks of them having my bike; why did it take them almost 2 weeks to diagnose what the other shop did in one day? After making a decent fuss about it, they sourced an "upgraded" Shimano BB locally and had my bike back together. I had my dad swing by the next day to pick up the bike, I just wanted it back at this point.
