I have represented clients before the judges at this municipal courthouse, and I have dealt with the municipal attorneys prosecuting the case. I was pleasantly surprised at how the polite and easy each was when dealing with my cases. I am an attorney from out of town and they treated me fabulously. My client in one case was from the east coast and they allowed me to represent him, pleading out via an affidavit for him. He was able to complete his probation requirements in his home state.

Out of all of the courthouses that I go to, OKC Municipal court has by far the nicest staff. They are always happy to help and they never complain about their work.

This system is appalling to say the least. My first day of Jury Duty; i received a parking ticket because there was a fire in the parking garage and I was unable to move my car; $15. someone also stole my tag while downtown, $50. On the 3rd day of Jury Duty after waiting all day they tell us to go to the Juvenile court the next day. After being there all day they had the delinquent in question in cuffs before we entered, so they couldn't use us for the Jury, sent us back down town the next day... After 5 days waiting around, I was put on a jury panel finally, then dismissed. I paid my tickets including a letter to advise about the fire and my proof of tag. The check for my tag was returned to me with no explanations, I called and was advised they would reduce it with my proof, they had my proof on file though. So, why did you not just send me a refund for the difference I ask. She said, let me find out, I asked if they could find out about the regular parking ticket too, since they closed the whole surrounding area due to fire off there was no place else to park in time to be back for jury duty. She said she would send me a letter with my new payment details... I never received anything and didn't think much about it. Until, 5 months later I'm getting a letter advising if I don't pay double my ticket price, $110, in 10 days they will put out a warrant for my arrest!!!! I call, "we have no notes, blah blah blah, you can come to court to contest it." Take more time off and money for them to most likely not dismiss it. I am proud to be an OKLAHOMAN, but our government systems here are ridiculous especially for OKC court system! I am paying this ticket just to not have to deal with it anymore. Glad I could serve our state, $100 for jury duty week. $165 in the whole for unnecessary tickets and paying for parking which they don't pay for you for serving duty. The poor man on trial for panel I was on was not given a just Jury either! Every person of color, and I mean any tint of color was dismissed. This whole experience has left me faithless with our court system. They can't due paperwork right, they can't track notes, they can't be just. SAD!

Very frustrating! Trying to pay a citation on the due date with the web site down. It says you can pay online and I am not sure how that is possible with the web site that does not work properly.

The counter and for the most part everything there runs like clock work. Dave,Alex,Beth and Renee are great to work with. Judge Austin is Impatient and a bit of a tyrant for not a good reason. I was also told that is you start complaining about everything you do, it is time to change what you do. hint hint........ They all have a hard job for sure. Be kind to everone.......
