I cannot express how great it is to have Scott Risk as my stylist. From my first appointment three years ago, I knew I was dealing with a true professional that is dedicated to his craft. His intial consultation in thorough and the end result is hair that is exceptional. His uses and provides exceptional product. Scott has made my hair truly beautiful and I have the style I have searched for years to get. I no longer have to be jealous of the women in New York or LA and there celebrity stylist because we have our own celebrity stylist in Oklahoma with Scott Risk. I am thankful to have Scott as my stylist. Scott also cuts both my daughter's hair and my husband's hair. We could not be happier with the results Scott has given to us.
In reply to Mr. Risk's response: Why would you assume I am a disgruntled stylist? Perhaps you have time to post fake reviews on others? I do not. As I said, I was quoted a very different price and charged almost $400. Obviously if I had heard this was your reputation BEFORE, I would not have booked with you. It is true you have prices listed and quote them, but it is because that was not the price you charged that made it bait & switch tactics. Congratulations on retaining everyone of your new clients. 100% is certainly unheard of- you must be very proud. You didn't retain me, so I am suspect of this statement...Maybe your new motto should be to treat others like you would like to be treated. Respect, it's an Oklahoma thing...I hope you think about this and wish you luck in the future.
BAIT & SWITCH PRICES! STAY AWAY from this salon unless you like paying exorbitant prices for an adequate cut! The entire day was excruciating! Scott Risk is just a hyped up stylist working in the Velvet Monkey Salon. I was quoted one price but charged almost $400 when Mr. Risk checked me out. I have heard this is common! He did offer to add free conditioning to my shampoo in exchange for a great review. I've been in upscale salons before, and this is not upscale! If he concentrated on his work instead of trashing everyone & everybody, it would have improved the service. Conversation covered his only apparent "authority" in how he found Oklahomans all disgustingly fat and only intelligent enough to watch football. I couldn't wait to get out of there! Shame on Scott Risk! I would give this stylist a zero except the style and cut was not butchered.
I discovered Scott after needing a major color correction from another stylist, that put bleach over my entire head, thus turning my whole head orange! I found Scott and he has changed my hair life forever! In a matter of hours, he transformed, yes transformed my botch color job into a GORGEOUS OMBRE!! I cannot say enough about this guy, he is AMAZING! I will never go to anyone else for hair cut or color! His attention to detail is perfection. Not only can he do the most advanced hair color techniques, but he's also talented at cutting! I give 10 stars! A hidden gem in OKC, so glad to have found him!!
I wish I had found Scott sooner! He truly has a passion for hair and strives for perfection in his craft. It is apparent from a first appointment with him that this is not the typical "let's just cut your hair and get it done" appointment. Scott will truly take the time to discover what you want from your hair and will deliver an exceptional result. He brings the techniques, styles, products and artistic passion that you would expect to get in NYC or LA to Oklahoma City! Like I said I wish I had found him sooner, my hair has never looked better!
I now have shiny smooth color rich hair, thanks to the Japanese Straightening treatment Scott Risk masters to perfection. Hours of my daily routine to get ready for a day of work had been shed thanks to it. My time is valuable, so not having to worry about my hair for more than eight months on is worth it. Plus, the cosmopolitan treatment, which includes soothing head massages and aromatherapy, makes Scott Risk, the best hair stylist ever.
