Horrible customer service from the owner,a mean-spirited man, who apparently grossly overcharges. His employees were great before and after the transaction ... Asking if I need help finding anything and helping me find another store while their boss lost me and everyone I know as a customer forever.

Also, beware of how you pay for your purchase. He apparently really loves cash over other forms of currency to the point that he will demean you for not paying how he would like you to. Do yourself a favor and go one mile in either direction and a better liquor store will appear over the horizon.

The owner and staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. They really care about their customers. I have shopped at Stevie's for years.

Stevie's not only has a great selection of wines and spirits their prices are very reasonable ! I've been a customer for over 20yrs and have never know a friendlier staff!!

"The worst liquor store in town" is a sentence that gives this liquor store too much credit. To begin with, the inside is cluttered and every bottle is covered in dust. The floor looks like it might only get swept by the breeze that comes through the door when it opens. What makes this business the most horrid is the customer service. The owner is a stodgy old man with an insulting sense of humor. He has the couth of a cave dweller and respects others even less than he respects his store's appearance.

I entered this store 20 minutes to close, the night before thanksgiving holiday, to finish up the last bit of shopping I had for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I gather my items and wait til the lines die down a little bit before approaching the register. The owner rings me up and tells me my card is declined ... I ask him to please run it again because I know I have plenty of money on it ... He starts arguing with me stating that if it was declined once it will be declined again. One of his employees leaned over and politely said since it is a chip card you will need to manually punch in the numbers. The guy argues with me some more but says fine if I run it again and its declined you owe me two dollars for the credit card machine fee ... His other employee is shaking his head and murmurs its not going to work again doing it that way ... and it declines again ... He says I owe him two dollars, I ask him to please run it manually like they suggested and he says "They work for ME! Not the other way around!" And he refuses to manually input my card, I told him I would pay the fees if he would just please manually run the card, he refuses. As I'm leaving the store, very angry because I have ten minutes to find another liquor store before closing before a holiday and one of his employee tells me he's so sorry and gives me directions to another liquor store nearby. I make it to that store with three minutes to spare, the prices turned out a lot cheaper, $34 versus the $41 "Stevie" was going to charge me for the same products and guess what, my card worked just fine.

My encounter with him, although brief, was spent with him insulting not only my intelligence but my wife's because we didn't understand a joke that he obviously thought was going to be a real humdinger. My total was $17.76, he mumbled how 1776 wasn't for another month. After his poor delivery of a joke, he told me it must've gone over my head and that he was talking about Fourth of July. Not sure if he was legitimately trying to be condescending I laughed it off and said that I was a business major and that I didn't think much about history. His response was that was the fourth grade and that I should know it. Totally insulted I considered dropping my overpriced bottle of vodka on the floor, thinking at least he would have to clean it up and the result would be the only clean spot in the place. Instead, I stooped to his juvenile level and called him a name and walked out. In hindsight, 1776 could've been the year he was born.

As a scotch and wine collector, this store is the best in the state all around. The selection of port and vintage wines/liquors can't be found anywhere else. The staff is incredibly helpful and seems to know the history of every distiller/manufacturer for every bottle they carry, and is more than willing to take that extra bit of time (if they aren't super busy) to help you make a perfect selection. 10/10 they have won a loyal customer for years to come.
