Their webpage claims that customer service is a huge deal to them, but our experience there indicated otherwise. Waiting in line and watching the bouncer display great subjectivity while handling people in regards to the dress code should have been an indication that this was not going to be a very good night for the members of our party. If you're going to have a strict dress code, then you need to adhere to it and not let people bypass that based on their physical looks.
Saturday night I went with two friends to celebrate a birthday. Around 1 am I went to retrieve my clutch purse when one of the bouncers told me to step outside and go through the ropes and then re-enter. Once I was outside, I was refused re-entry. I asked the bouncer at the door (Dylan) why I wasn't allowed back inside, to which he replied, "They don't tell me why. They just said you weren't allowed back in." I asked him if he was certain I was the one not allowed re-entry, and he said yes. "You're the one they pointed to." I was not drunk, loud, crude or belligerent however no one could tell me why I was to stay out. Besides being humiliating, it was UNSAFE. My two friends inside, while I (a single female, without back-up) stood outside and for NO REASON! I will not be back!
Once inside, the presence of guards was outstanding. I understand the intent is to make sure there is enough staffing to regulate the club, but having too many definitely ruined the atmosphere. It was akin to having law enforcement officers watching you like a hawk the whole time, and who can have fun with that kind of environment?
Not a fan of this nightclub. I believe they were going for an upscale feel, but the atmosphere wasn't at all what I expected. The music was uncomfortably loud, drinks were poorly made and overpriced, and the bartenders were squeezed into these little outfits that were obviously way too small for them. They also had this one chick dancing on the bar, who I assume was supposed to be a go-go dancer.. If I wanted to see that much extra fat and sweat, I would've hit up a local strip joint or a gym. Also way too packed. No decent looking ladies anywhere. Sorry, but this is just another crappy nightclub.
One of the members of our party was eventually kicked out of the club for being too drunk. No warning to tone it down or anything. Just out. The rest of us left on our own accord after discovering this fact. We paid good money with the intent of having a good evening, and Candy Nightclub failed as a business in fulfilling their claim of customer service being important to them.
i wanted to tab out, the bar tender tabbed me out, and I signed the receipt for $17.00 at 1:00 am. Then I left candy's there after. Later closer to 2:00 I had another $20 pulled out of my account in a separate transaction. bar tender or the establishment, stole from me... recommend using cash only...
WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT CANDY! LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE AND THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY NON SMOKING!!! THE DRINKS WERE GREAT AND SO WAS STAFF!!! ENJOYED OUR EXPERIENCE AND WILL BE BOOKING OUR NEXT PARTY THERE TOO! THANK YOU GUYS FOR EVERYTHING!
