The food is mediocre at best. The service is usually very good.
We reserved a table up against the window for my birthday. there is a $20 per person minimum for us that's not hard if you get a dish and a drink. I got chicken fried steak, it was great my drink was good our waitress was very friendly our food came very quick. it would have been a great evening except for the chainsmokers that sat next to our table that ruins the whole evening smells so bad we finally had to leave after the eighth race it was so gross. it's really too bad they can't put smokers at one end and non-smokers at another end but I realize most of their clientele are smokers. That being said it does limit us to only going to Remington and Silks one time a year that's all I can stand of the smoke and I am not even allergic to smoke
Usually this place is a 3ish; at most. Service is ok. Today though was rediculous. Order appetizer and dinner at the same time. Dinner came out 10 minutes after appetizer after it was requested to make sure that didnt happen. Dinner was ok. We were offered an additional appetizer to take home. Chips and queso; hard to screw that up right. Got them to go only to ooen the box and find out they had poured the queso on the chips. I guess they thought I wanted soup instead. The level of competency in the kitchen was rediculous; felt sorry for our waitress as she kept apologizing for the subpar service of the kitchen staff. McDonalds doesn't mess up this bad.
Unbelievably long dinner. 2 and a half hours to be exact. Rice was undercooked and cold, steak was mediocre. Waiter was rude and really just didn't seem to care. My wife's meal came 40 min after mine. At least the beer was cold and the bread was good. We will never go back.
I'm not quite sure why this place has such sub par reviews... I went in for a 2 for $25 dinner deal last Thursday. The track website was having issues with online reservations but I had no problem calling and getting the reservation put in that way. They don't start seating people until 6:00 on the nose so no need to arrive too early. I ordered the burger with chips and salsa and it came out wonderfully! The salad appetizer was good but the dessert was my favorite part. I recommend getting the cheesecake. This deal comes with 2 $5 vouchers to place a wager. If only I had used it on the long shot in the maiden race who paid $77 to win...
