The worst dining experience ever! This place is so disorganized. They treat their staff terribly. The food takes an hour to come out and they blame the wait staff instead of the kitchen staff.They hope you will buy several drinks while they take forever to cook your food. Will never be back! The owners need to rethink this place and how to run a business because what they are doing is definitely not working!
I’ve been to The Ruins twice and each time, I’ve had a great experience. Super friendly staff and super cool place! My favorite appetizers are the cheese curds and fried pickles. Loved the friend shrimp and coconut shrimp too. I will definitely be going again and recommend this to my family, friends, and coworkers.
I can’t believe how busy it was last night & they only have 2 waitresses. One is getting yelled at & cussed out by a large table next to me & my family! The owners decided to cater to this debauchery and drunken fools in their group, instead of doing what any restaurant in their right mind would do and kicking them out. I was surprised that the owners did not care about their staff more. The table was creating a scene and several of them were screaming and yelling like savages. I could hear the owner telling them that they were going to refund all of their meals and appetizers..and fire their waitress!!!! Who does that!?
I love the decor of this place and everything the location has to offer. The staff were very friendly, and I was pleased with their drink selection. Most notably I like that they have Prairie Bomb and DNR on tap, as well as other local selections, including a rotational. I'm only giving it 4 stars for now, because the food leaves something to be desired. The food that we ordered was just OK, and seemed to be lacking in flavor. Judging by what we ordered and other reviews, it looks like they have a lot of room for improvement there. It's still a new establishment, and I expect it will only get better. I look forward to returning in the future and seeing it grow!
This place is awesome! I love the different cool things they offer like the Haunted house, to escape rooms, the beer garden outside, and the restaurant/bar. It is really cool how they have amazing Decour inside. I love the music videos that play different Eras & different styles of music. The food is amazing and the selection has a large variety. I had a text as mule & The cheese curds are amazing and so are the fried shrimp.the shrimp are huge. love the lobster ravioli too!!! You have to try this place!!!!
What a horrible place!
They were just mad they had to wait I guess?!?I mean one guy was just belligerent the whole time he was there. He just kept taking his anger out on the waitress. They had great service for three hours the whole time I was waiting for my food.That server was doing her job & didn’t deserve to get yelled at & The cussing did not stop. I have children with me and I’m really upset by how slow the kitchen is and the bar. The servers are doing their best and the same table kept trying to leave without paying their tab. I heard the owner say that the waitress they had was fired. Completely unprofessional and I will NEVER COME BACK!! I wish I could say different. I see the other reviews on here and it makes me upset because by the time we got our food it was cold and gross and I didn’t even want to bother with trying to get a manager or someone over to the table to try and fix it. It took three hours to get our food!! I would save yourself the drama and skip going to this joint. If they’re going to run a business they should be more professional and keep the riffraff outside of the family restaurant. I felt like I was at a bar! Not for families! I hope the owners read this and take into consideration the way they treat their staff ..Take a stand for the people that are working for you. Back your staff up! The table left the server no tip after 3 hours of serving a ton of drinks and appetizers and almost all of their meals. This just made me very angry. We waited for over three hours for our food and nothing was done for us. I’m just really shocked still today about the experience I had!
