I was apart of a party of 18 patrons on September 22,2017 that dinned at the Shack. It was apparent that the owners have taken no pride in providing real Cajun Seafood to Oklahoma residents. The grease being used should have been used for car oil, many of the food items were very dark, I would be remised if I didn't talk about the soggy spaghetti French fries. It took 45 minutes for us to receive garlic bread, the drinks were not being refilled. There were only about 4 patrons there when we arrived. I have not intention on visiting any Shack establishment, I had previously patronized the Norman location, I knew on that day it would close the minute their lease was up.
Definitely one of our go-to lunch spots in the metro. Their meals never disappoint and the staff is always helpful with new recommendations.
Not that this place was ever run professionally. Did have some very good people, food has always been great, but since Bret has officially departed. the bar could not pass health code. And free stuff still walks out. Oh and by the way I've been patronizing this establishment since it opened
My husband and I just went and ate there. Ordered the fried catfish. Very disappointing. Too much seasoning. About 1/8 of an inch of seasoning. And the catfish didn't taste right either. The waiter (who was wonderful) asked how everything was. We told his about the catfish and we only ate a couple bites and just lost our appetite. He went and talked to his manager and she wanted us to pay for 1 meal, again we only ate a couple bites. We asked to talk to her she came over after a good 20-30 min of waiting and I politely explained our situation and offered to pay for everything but the catfish as that was all we were disappointed with and she didn't let me finish said "fine I'll take it off" and rolled her eyes and she walked off. Again the waiter was wonderful very polite and we still gave him a full tip of what the meal would have cost but I'm very disappointed in the way management handled this.
This restaurant is a great hole in the wall. The food is good, and the service is great. Mo was our server and she was so informative and quick to tend to our needs. I had the fish tacos and they were amazing.
