Not worth the cost. Went way downhill from when they opened. The foods ok but not worth the cost. Mixed drinks arent bad but the garnishes like the cherries are past date and rancid. The staff are ok but personal hygiene needs to be addressed with them.
This place has a really nice menu selection. A friend invited me hear and we have been back twice working through the menu. Funky, offbeat location, but seems to stay busy. Huge fan of the chicken fried chicken power lunch menu offering.
I ordered the King Crab boil and it was the worst thing I have ever had. There was barely any crab in there... simply a ton of potatoes and corn. I asked for the boil to not be too spicy and of course they didn't get that right either. Have called and asked to speak to the manager, to no avail. Don't waste $70 dollars of your money on this place. I do not recommend it. Awful.
The menu has lots of options from down home Creole fare (think, 'Mmm, I guarantee') to gluten free selections that still hit the spot.
I'm not sure when drink prices in Oklahoma started matching drink prices in Manhattan, but if you're not drinking your budget away, The Shack is for you. And if you do like a drink or 5, there are lots of choices at the bar. Just wasn't expecting to pay $9 for a 6 ounce cocktail.
This was a Cajun hideout tucked into NWOKC and it hit the spot. Especially with the jazz trio playing during dinner and the people watching, to boot.
Our first visit and the fried catfish was very good! Our server Vincent was attentive and courteous! Would recommend it!
