I don't but a whole lot of paper books anymore. But this was a gift for my grandson who is 10. Great selection of age appropriate books. They do have some really good deals. Only downside is that most items are full price. Still the best book store in my area.
They have a new design to the store that feels a bit more open and is rather pleasant. The music section shrank and the toys grew a bit. The cafe is always very pleasant with wonderful service.
It was clean and i enjoyed my visit. My first time in centuries!, going to a book store. I enjoyed myself. It was quiet and big. They sold toys, as well. I went in looking for a bday gift and came out with a few. Not just books, a sizable selection of toys and puzzles and games. The only thing it was missing was sales. It was a bit pricey Tho for lower income
B&N is reliable. You're not going to find any hidden gems like you do at HPB. The workers at this store were very friendly. I prefer the layout at the Norman store. The layout here doesn't feel as intuitive. I also wish B&N would set up a separate horror section.
So, go in to buy a book, listed about $11 on the website-$17 in store. This is absurd. They try to make excuses but the bottom line is you are making our stores look bad and it is why they will close. Smart companies stopped doing this years ago. You can't have this much difference from online to store when the book is carried both ways. Never coming back unless this is fixed.
