Really good experience here! Pretty small place yet very roomy. I'm from out of town, so I to go to a lot of different card/comic stores. I think this store has a very friendly atmosphere, it's a nice place to casually play MTG with the locals. I got into a game as soon as I set my stuff down on one of the tables. On top of that the prices were very reasonable.
The first time we went in you could hardly get through the door it was so crowded. The noise level was ridiculous & the customer base smelled. Additionally it was not obvious who even worked there. I spent 20 mins talking to a guy who acted like it was his store only to find out he's just a regular there.
Despite a further drive, my business goes to Game HQ over these guys
Went in to get a present for my boyfriend. Don't know much about Comics or that type of thing wonderful man helped me find the perfect presents, very attentive very helpful, very friendly also made me a deal.Yay, yay, yay, love to save money. Bboyfriend loved it. Glad I went in, will go back!
The owner/employee told me it's likely out of production but it is not. Just not overly popular. But it's not like he came over to ask me to begin with. I was looking for a good 5-10 minutes within his eye shot before he simply hollered across the room if I needed help.
Had to give one star but would have rather none. We are now in the parking lot leaving but we came in to talk comic books because I was willing to spend a couple hundred on one if they could find it but no one had the time to assist us. Everyone was tooooo busy to get up from their dice game to help. Not one person greeted us or asked if we needed help. Couldn't even tell who actually worked here since no one even looked up. VERY disappointed in our shopping experience. We are serious gamers (D&D, Magic, etc) and would have liked to maybe consider this to be our new gaming place since we just moved here. I miss our old gaming store. They were ALWAYS happy to see people come in and get them involved in gaming and comics. This place was less then inviting. You just lost out on a couple hundred in just one sell of one comic.
This place is like a second home to me. Tom, the owner, is super nice and helpful. This is a place for nerds to be themselves and make friends.
A week ago I tried calling during business hours. Rang 15 times & no one answered. So I pm'ed on Facebook. Asked about a couple of specific paints I was trying to find. Was told yes they had one of them. I drive there only to find out they don't even carry it let alone have it in stock.
