About money not women's health...with a lapse in insurance this office will let an IUD stay in a patient with no payment options, cash only before visit.
I hate when people say don't ever ever ever go someplace bc they had a bad experience...sometimes you have no options and sometimes you will have a different experience. I have great insurance...so I can kind of go anywhere I chose OU for the midwifery "service". After my first appointment that left me a little weary of the Doctor and staff and a very rude phone call at 8 A.M. A few weeks later by yet another grumpy employee confirming an appointment I didn't make or know about I figured it was time to switch doctors...unfortunately as I spoke around to other moms this is not uncommon with OU. If OU is your only option please start looking up how to birth your child at home and give yourself prenatal care. I'm only half serious on the last remark, bc maybe it's dangerous and maybe it's not, but, if it were me with no options BUT OU it would become a natural home birth by force. After ive waited one month to get my records faxed (being patient) I call to see what was going on they said they have no record of me signing the release papers (no surprise bc when I went to sign the papers everybody was heading out for their weekend). They nickel and dime the insurance then nickel and dime their patients if they were all at least like the receptionist it would be okay you shouldn't be rude, greedy, and inadequate...you should only choose one deadly sin.
Great staff! Friendly and helpful intake staff, and the nurses and nurse practitioners are equally great! I have seen two different doctors here and both were outstanding. Very knowledgeable and well researched. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, sometimes a little longer than others, but I would not choose to go anywhere else.
