We had an extremely long wait for the staff to acknowledge us and seat us even though the place was close to empty. The atmosphere in the front seating area was great; however, our waiter rudely stated that we must wait until next time to be seated there. Instead, we were seated in a noisy area, next to a kitchen that smelled of rotten fish.
We hope some changes are made as we see the potential and don't want to make our first visit our last.
It's been a couple months since I have went. I thought I had given a review, but here goes. Ordered the toasted ravioli for apps have to say they were very good. The server knew her wines. Go my main course which was gnocchi. They were so over cooked I had to use a spoon to pick them up. It was almost like eating smashed up food. I don't really recommend that dish. All of these are just my opinions but feel free to try for yourself.
I believe kinder and more attentive staff and changing the way the food on the menu is seasoned and prepared can make a huge difference. The quality of the ingredients was great, but the food did not taste all that great. We could definitely prepare something much tastier at home.
This place was lovely. Service was stellar and food delicious. We were traveling through on our way back to Michigan. Was suprised that more locals aren't supporting it. I strongly encourage people to get out and check this out
(We just added rosemary to the spaghetti and meatballs from our leftovers, and it greatly increased the flavor. It didn't make the dish taste 100% better, but certainly helped.
My wife and I were looking for a romantic dinner. We were seated in the bar area which was noisy and the waiters were loud. We asked about the more romantic seating after we were seated (there were only 4 other parties besides us in the whole restaurant and 2 of them were in the bar area). The waiter replied with an attitude that if we wanted that seating over there we should have asked before we were seated. The waiter was rude and pushy all night. His breath was terrible. The kitchen smelled like old fish when we walked by, the one thing we both wanted on the menu they were out of. Spaghetti and meatballs were ok, the noodles were really good, the fried chicken truffle was excellent, the greens on the side were too salty. Wife thought it was so bitter she spit it out and I've never seen her do that . overall one of the worst experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This place has a lot of potential.
The food was subpar, except for the truffle chicken and garlic bread with dip. It's too bad, we really wanted to like this place. It has so much potential.
Amazing food. We absolutely loved our waiter! He was witty and entertaining and great at his job. Definitely go to Gabriella's.
