Great honest people will never go anywhere else
My husband and I have used Fleet Auto a few
3000 miles ago they installed a motor for me had a vibration ever since in my transmission ever since and one day my clutch and transmission blew up found out the wrong pilot bearing was installed and caused the failure called them and let them know what happened and I told them the at least owe me a transmission bc of there inability to check fitment of part as a mechanic myself (diesel mechanic) I know to check parts and fitment before installing I did not have access to a cherry picker or I would of done it myself Danny service manager said no I'm not buying you a transmission but I'll give you 450 or we can go to court and he asked why I didn't bring it in when I noticed vibration and I said it's because I was going through diagnostics myself finding wear items in my drive line so I replaced what was worn out and still did not cure the problem I then said if they could at least cover half of a reman transmission that I would be ok and on my way and he still said no a reman cost depending on the builder 1400 to 2000 and he then said I supposedly had an after market transmission which I did not and then tried blaming parts store but then I told him they should have installed the one I provided and did not this is on a 88 mustang with a factory 5 speed that takes a mustang 4cylinder pilot bearing because that was what the factory put in the car for that transmission I also gave him the correct number and he said well that's not what they show to be correct which is bearing number 202ss for a 88 mustang / 90 Mercedes 300sl/ 84 to 94 2.2 diesel ford ranger all take its an alternate part number for my 88 mustang but they screwed me out of a flywheel clutch and transmission because of there own ignorance to not check fitment before installation
My nephew works at Fleet Auto... Very good service
I was having a cooling problem with my 2001 Monte Carlo. The radiator, cooling fans, water pump, temperature sensor and thermostat had just recently been replaced. I was certain it was a computer problem or wiring. I trusted Fleet Auto Repair to be honest and fair with me. I dropped the car off, they drove the car around a couple times and said it wasn't circulating the coolant at idle. They quoted me $500 to replace a $ 35 water pump and a $ 20 thermostat. I told them that wasn't the problem and asked to speak to the tech or manager to find out what led them to believe that was the problem. They just charged me $95 and wouldn't give me the time of day. Turns out the car had a air lock. I bled the cooling system and viola problem fixed. When Danny was hands on it was a different place. Unless you have a obvious, in your face, simple repair that any moron can fix and don't mind paying three times the price it should cost then by all means I recommend this place.
times over the last few years and have always been treated very well. Their service is GREAT. We have taken at least 3 different cars to Fleet for some type of repairs and the repairs were done correctly the first time and at a reasonable price. They were recommend to us and we have happily recommended them to others.
