Chapter 47 - Human Remains and Tissue, Burial, Cemeteries, and Funerals

Just for families information here is the regulations listed below

Any person entitled by law to the right to dispose of the body of the decedent shall forfeit that right, and the right shall be passed on to the next qualifying person as listed in Section 1158 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, in the following circumstances:

Title 21. Crimes and Punishments

This place is truly a blessing!!!! They actually care about you and your loved one. They will work with you on any budget and make things easier. Darren was really there for us in our time of need and desperation. I checked with a ton a funeral homes and none could help reduce the cost to my budget and none of them cared as much as Darren did. I am absolutely amazed! I would recommend this place to anyone.

1. Any person charged with first or second degree murder or voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of the decedent, and whose charges are known to the funeral director; provided, however that if the charges against such person are dropped, or if such person is acquitted of the charges, the right of disposition shall be returned to the person;

Section 1151a - Forfeiture of Right to Dispose of One's Body

2. Any person who does not exercise the right of disposition within three (3) days of notification of the death of the decedent or within five (5) days of the death of the decedent, whichever is earlier; or

Darren was considerate, professional, and all around a great guy. My call was always taken by him, and they did amazing work in cremating my mother. They have, by far, the best price and service in town. It's always sad when you need this service, but trust them with it all. Their motto is something along the lines of "Enter as a guest, and leave a friend". I can say with confidence they fully embrace and honor this motto throughout.

3. If the district court, pursuant to Title 58 of the Oklahoma Statutes, determines that the person entitled to the right of disposition and the decedent were estranged at the time of death. For purposes of this paragraph, "estranged" means a physical and emotional separation from the decedent at the time of death that clearly demonstrates an absence of due affection, trust and regard for the decedent.

As a Funeral Home we have to follow the law that the state of Oklahoma sets forth for us. When the Next of Kin to a Deceased cannot take care of the responsibilities the law allows for others to come forth and makes those decisions. As a Funeral Home we require everyone who takes care of those arrangements to provide us with the names of family members who are allowed to pick up the Cremains. Unfortunately that leaves certain people out and can have some hurt feelings between family members.

This funeral home came highly recommended, and we can certainly agree. Our family is so grateful to Darren for his very kind and knowledgeable treatment of our wishes for our mother’s funeral. He was there with wise suggestions, but did not push his recommendations on us. At the service, he saw where things were needing to be done and stepped right up to help. We felt so comfortable with him that it almost seemed he was a good friend of the family. The fees for the Home’s services were very reasonable and we were quite pleased with everything that they did for us. Thank you,Darren, for all you did to help us through this part of honoring our mother. The Maribelle Elmore Family

Absolute Economical Funeral and staff handled a very emotional and extremely difficult situation with the utmost professional curtesy and compassion. After the separated wife of our dearly loved son and brother abruptly left the state without making final arrangements for his remains left at the hospital. When the wife called 3 days later wishing to pick up the death certificate and cremated remains, Darren very graciously offered to cancel the contract and refund the family, and sign a new contract with her. The wife declined the offer, and then her sister Sharron1234 left a negative review, obviously not understanding the entire situation. A.E. Funeral Home provided the lowest cost without hidden fees, and I would highly recommend them, and will use them again if and when required.
