I love my Helzberg items and tried to give the Penn Square store another chance but two times of being treated so poorly and I'm done. I definitely recognized the female manager as being on site during both occurrences. She has light brown hair highlighted with blonde and seems uncaring and rude. I am a longtime loyal Helzberg customer for over 25 years which can be seen by the number of pieces I bring in. It's probably fine to make a purchase at Penn Square. However the way you are treated afterward as a returning, loyal customer who is trying to keep up with the terms of the warranty they offer is terrible.
Terrible customer service! Every single time I've been in (from purchasing my wedding band to getting it inspected every 6 months to shopping for other jewelry), they've been incredibly rude and unhelpful. Save yourself the headache and go to the store at Quail Springs. They'll actually treat you like a paying customer who deserves a little bit of respect.
Most recently was in October when they accused me of not bringing in the item, but only the warranty card! Then after I left the store in tears, they called me 10 minutes later to say that the expensive 5 stone diamond anniversary ring was found in the trash!!! It had been thrown away in the cleaning tissue!! Two employees (one male, one female) who both said they were managers were there at the time and pretty much could have cared less!! I would love to talk to someone from corporate office but not sure how to do that? I will drive out of my way to never go back to Penn Square Helzberg!!
Dear Ms. Berrin was absolutely fabulous while helping my husband and I with the choice and eventual purchase of my new ROYAL ASSCHER® ENGAGEMENT RING. WOW....it's a beauty and so was the experience at the store. Everyone was helpful as they stopped by to offer comments and remarks about my choice and the details about each brand and quality of rings available. Since this was a surprise (unplanned) visit, time quickly slipped away but the employees never mentioned they were soon closing or that we needed to hurry. I bought a small contour band to support the overall look and love love love it too. When we went back for the rings, after sizing, I was still in shook about the impromptu purchase (after 48 years with my man). Again, all employees were helpful and attentive to our questions. They welcomed me to return for an insurance appraisal. Thank you to Steve and all other employees for their attentiveness and thoroughness. We'll return!
TWICE during this process in the past 18 months the Penn Square Helzberg has lost/misplaced one of my jewelry items. The first time I noticed I was missing earrings a few weeks after I took my pieces in for cleaning. I called the store and they said I left them in the cleaner. Excuse me? I didn't put them in the cleaner, you did! I just made the mistake of trusting that they gave me back all my items after cleaning.
Ms. Berrin is so very helpful and kind!
Felt I should add my review after seeing the others having a bad time. I bought an engagement ring from this Penn Square Helzberg and the Assistant Manager, Sarah I believe, was very friendly and super polite. When we left, we noticed a small diamond was loose. Then about a week later we noticed one was missing and others were loose, so we brought it back in to have it fixed, since I bought the warranty. The worker took the ring and had it ordered for repair. When we got the ring back, it was basically destroyed. They ruined the halo (it was no longer a circle) and they basically covered a small diamond with the gold. There was also a large crack in the ring. We took it back, and when we told Sarah about it, she was making all kinds of excuses like it's impossible for their repair team to make a mistake, and that she "couldn't see anything wrong with it" and then she contradicted herself and said "sometimes this just happens." And then she claimed she couldn't see anything again magically. So then another customer came in so she set our ring down and got someone else to take care of us while she went to make another sale since we were just annoying customer complaining about our destroyed ring. My fiance barely wore it because she was worried it would get more damaged. Anyway, we had them order us a new one completely, and when it arrive we compared the two rings, and it was plain as day that the old ring was destroyed. We will never come back to this Helzberg and I hope more people see these reviews and steer clear. We plan to try the Quail Springs Helzberg today to buy our wedding bands since we hear the service is better there.
As he called himself "I run this place" guy is a complete unprofessional rude individual and I will be writing a letter to corporate about he handles himself
The store at Penn Square is the most poorly run Helzberg I have ever encountered. We have owned jewelry for over twenty five years and have been to stores in 3 states as we have moved around over the years. I take my jewelry in at least every 6 months and have added pieces to my collection so several items have to be cleaned, checked and warranty cards signed.
