Do not do business with this guy if you can help it!!! I secured a truck online that my insurance covered, but Don refused to give me a truck that size forcing me to buy insurance from him for the bigger truck. He guaranteed that it would be the same price as the smaller one. When I returned the tuck I noticed he charged me almost $10 more for the truck than my online price plus increased the price per mileage amount! He threw the paper back at me when I made him correct it!! I will NEVER do business with him again!
My only advice is to make sure you read and understand the terms of your agreement before you sign for a truck. Know what you are paying for in advance!! Reserve online for the best prices, and make sure to follow all their written instructions.
Called the first time, they put me on hold without even telling me they were going to. Called back later and it rang and rang, they never answered. Tried 3 times, and never got an answer, and it was during business hours. So unprofessional, horrible customer service.
I secured a truck nearly a month in advance and received a confirmation email two days ago. I'm moving to Tennessee and have a deadline when I have to be out of my current home. Today (Friday) I received a voicemail at 4:30pm that they no longer had the truck I needed. I was to pick the truck up at 8am tomorrow. I called and Don was useless in helping me. He told me I was welcome to a 16 foot truck (I had requested a 24 foot so obviously a 16 foot wouldn't work) or I could drive to any of the locations 2 hours away and see if they had one. Are you kidding?? You call the night before and screw me over?? And make no effort to help me in the pickle you've put me in? I even had my mom call and he was just as useless and inconsiderate as he was to me. Highly displeased. If anyone wants a good company to rent from, use Penske. Best customer service ever and they won't do you wrong. Don't use Don and his joke of a business.
I inspected my truck in Killeen, Texas before I signed for it. The truck was a late model Ford, 16ft box truck. In good shape, and got reasonable fuel economy. I used about 45 gallons to travel 370 miles, mostly highway. Your mpg's will vary depending mostly on how much weight you carry, and your individual driving techniques.
Would have givin 5 stars but they have a tiny store front with small parking lot.
