I have attended several events here. It seems they are always hampered from being great by the very restrictive rules of the convention center. The parking is also a nightmare and is never well organized.
Its a pretty nice smaller convention center. they updated the inside quite a few years ago. its still looks nice. the place can smell pretty bad at times, depending on what event was held before... comicon smelled like poo.. security was stupid. building is clearly marked no firearms.. no problem.. but no pocket knifes... The tickets, nor the event center entrance said "no sharp objects of any kind".... I have no problem with abiding by security practices, but maybe you should at least give people a heads up so they can plan accordingly.
The events and the organizers of the events are wonderful. The actual event center rules are odd. Cannot bring in water, but $4 for a bottle of water.. Or risk germ roulette at the fountain. I don't bring my kids here for that reason.
It is always fun at the mall. Love going there, lots of things to appreciate, from food to facials
We were just there for American Grappling Federation. We were able to buy snacks on the first and second floor. There is a parking garage under the convention center that cost $10 to park. There are elevators, as well as stairs, from the garage to the first floor. From the first floor to the second you can use the elevators, escalators and/or stairs. There are plenty of restrooms on the main levels. In addition to the main arena, there are other large rooms and multiple meeting rooms. Again, this place is huge. It is also handicapped accessible.
