Had a great time. All the animals were active. Even the turtles. My (adult) group had a little trouble with the map, but it was okay we managed to find everything with the signs. It only took us from 10am-1pm to finish (but again we didn't bring kids). It probably would have taken longer if the aquarium wasn't closed for the season. I called ahead of time and asked about the aquarium without being informed it was closed. We found out it was closed at the aquarium doors. That was frustrating, but it was okay we got to see the sea lions playing near by still. It probably would have taken an extra hour if the aquarium was open anyways. Oh there was also a funny sign in front of a construction site saying not to feed them or make eye contact.
Wonderful zoo. Well maintained. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We visit several times a year because there is so much to do and see. Families call bring in a picnic meal and their own drinks.
What these people do for our community is just amazing. The animals are all happy and healthy and there are so many cool events at the zoo. The exhibits and shows are great!
Well thought out and fun to walk. This is far better a zoo than the San Francisco and Oakland put together. Not enough water spots to get water from and the water fountains water taste of metal. Aside from this, it's clean and safe. The elephant exhibit is so well made for those who call this home. Worth every penny... there is still to much to brag about so go and enjoy... you'll come back with friends and family once you visit the first time.
Cannot wait to go back one last time this year! We got zoo passes that are good for a year to date! It's an awesome deal that is tax deductible. The zoo workers are knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. We went on a rainy day in September and almost all of the animals were out!
