Great location! For almost anything you want to do downtown or Bricktown, this is an ideal place to stay. Unfortunately, it's older and in not great condition. Some of the furniture and furnishings feel dated. It's time for some maintenance and remodeling. However, the staff is very good.
If you stay here and think the security is good at this place think again. Here is the story. Marriott has a security manager. He has no experience in security and has no licensees to work as security in Oklahoma. When the Thunder start the season they hire security for the weekends and game nights. Until this year I think it was done by company that has some experience with security. The Marriott Security Manager got a dumb Idea that he would start a security company and hire persons with a Okla. licensees and pay them a cut rate and pocket the rest of the money. First of all I have no Ideal how Marriott would allow this to happen but they do. You don't think about security till something happens but you should. With the number of people that are there on game night it is very important. Just ask for the security manager when you go there you will find a tatted up young guy that thinks he know security with no training. Find another place to stay. Somewhere you can have a safe environment. Not here.
We booked the king whirlpool room for the night. We felt the experience wasnt worth the price for a night in that room. The room itself was smaller than expected and overall the whirlpool experience was more or less just a jet tub. We still had a good time but for ~$170.00 a night I would definitely want more. Also this price didn't include breakfast which was another $15.00 per person for a buffet no different than any other hotels hot breakfast which is generally complimentary. We will stay here again but won't be spending the extra money on a glorified bathtub.
Beyond the convenient location, the facilities themselves were top notch and the GM for the location was extremely helpful, professional, and went above and beyond to insure I enjoyed my stay.
Great location right in the middle of all the action downtown, especially if you're going to an event or a basketball game as it's right next door to both convention halls.
Checking in was short and semi-pleasant, the front desk staff wasn't very informative. The valet parking attendant was very nice and informative and we didn't even use valet! We reserved the jacuzzi suite and I had to clean the jacuzzi out (yuck)! The AC did not keep the room cold and that made it hard to sleep. All levels state there is an ice and vending machine... no vending machine but you can go down stairs to get a $3 16oz bottle of water :) Just not impressed when we could have stayed in a less expensive, cleaner, with a more accommodating staff, free water with complementary breakfast hotel.
