It took the bartender 3 minutes to make a whiskey on the rocks (IT'S JUST ICE AND WHISKEY. WHY IS THIS SO HARD). Other than that it was great.
The location is conveniently located, near downtown and lots of great restaurants. The hotel is kept clean. The staff is fantastic. Really friendly and attentive.
Staff was very friendly. My room was VERY nice and very clean. The gym is a nice aerobic gym with top o the line treadmills. Breakfast was also great. I enjoyed my stay. I wish parking was free though. I think $10 per day is pricey for non-covered parking at a hotel at which you've already paid to stay.
The gentleman at the front desk left a lot to be desired. I'm guessing because I had worked and drove all day I didn't look like the typical guest he preferred serving; however, room service more than made up for it. I have to say I would have rated them five stars for sure if my initial greeting and check-in would have been pleasant.
The turkey was very good - kudos to whomever cooked it. But the rest of the meal left much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The Thanksgiving Buffet was marginal at best. The only exception was the turkey which was fantastic. But, intentionally leaving out mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie was downright un-American. :) Seriously, they were sorely missed.
The desserts they did have were - odd... The German Chocolate cake wasn't fresh - in fact none of the desserts tasted fresh. The Lemon Meringue thing appeared to be tossed together and thrown into a bowl so I wasn't able to identify it. The dark-grey Pecans Pie filling tasted like a combination of Mince Meat, 20 shots of 151 rum and a pudding-like substance that we couldn't identify. By the time we left, the Meringue thing had developed a pretty thick skin from exposure under buffet heat lights.
